What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When you visit our website
- We collect your IP address, approximate location, and browsing behaviour through a self-hosted analytics platform in order to monitor visitor numbers and improve our service. This information is processed by us and our hosting company and is deleted after 24 months.
When you make a purchase
- We store the contents of your shopping basket while you’re browsing our site in order to process your order. This information is discarded when you close your browser or clear your cookies.
- During checkout we collect information including your name, address, email, phone number, and payment details in order to fulfil your order, respond to any requests you make, issue refunds, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, and improve our offering. We retain this information for two years, or until you request its deletion.
- When you make a card payment, we transfer your payment information to WooCommerce Payments, a service offered by Automattic, Inc, and Stripe in order to process your order and comply with our legal obligations. For more information, refer to Automattic’s privacy policy.
When you subscribe to our email newsletter
- When you sign up to our email newsletter during checkout or using a signup form, we collect your email address in order to deliver emails to you. This information is processed by us and our email provider, Mailchimp (a subsudiary of Intuit, Inc.), and retained until you unsubscribe. For more information, refer to Intuit’s privacy policy.
When you’re an administrator
- We store the personal information you provide in your user profile until your account is deleted. You can see, edit, or delete this information at any time.
- When you visit our login page, we set a cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This is discarded when you close your browser.
- When you log in, we set several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. Login cookies are discarded when you log out of your account.
- If you edit or publish content on this website, we set a cookie containing the ID of the article you just edited. This is discarded after one day.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we correct or delete any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
